Background
"PAZ" Engineering maintains a division
specializing in the restoration and preservation of
historical buildings and antique structures. The Company
keeps a wide-ranging professional library; senior employees
participate in engineering conferences in the preservation
field and are members
of international preservation organizations.
Specialized software was developed within the
department, necessary for the unique calculations for wood
and stone, as well as stability calculations. The
preservation team includes engineers and technicians
specializing in design engineering and implementation
supervision.

Long-term project for Amidar - Israel
National Housing Ltd., focusing on preserving historical
buildings at ancient Acre and restoring Haifa landmarks
dating back to the British Mandate period. The project restored
multiple buildings in various stages of disrepair for which
"PAZ" provided both the engineering design as well as
supervised the engineering aspects of the work performed. |

Oil Company dating back to the 1930s, established during

Templar Colony in Haifa and turning them into museums. "PAZ"

restoring stage rooms at the amphitheater, stability checks
and overall engineering supervision and follow-up for the
site since 1993. The project was carried out for the
Jewish National Fund. |

Engineering design for restoring the
Roman amphitheater - Beit Govrin (Click to Play Slideshow), stability
checks for existing arches, stone fillings, addition of modern
elements on top of the existing stone structure. The work was
performed for the Israel Nature and Parks Authority. |

of historical buildings at Old Acre for the
Israel
Antiquities Authority. |

Computer aided design
the Company uses advanced Computer Aided Design (CAD) software for digital drawing and layout, leading to
improved productivity, better accuracy and documentation. The Company was awarded the ISO 9001 quality standard for its uncompromising commitment to quality throughout the engineering
process.
The engineering team is a member of ICOMOS and the world preservation
committee ISCARSAH. |
